“ He who is not satisfied with a little is satisfied with nothing. Why should I fear death? If I am, then death is not. If Death is, then I am not.”

I believe as humans, it isn’t the black, cold theory of death, it’s about how when we die we no longer experience life, the good, fun, bad and evil. We simply, cease to exist. Which imo makes life on earth truly meaningless. If the afterlife doesn’t exist then we are simply Here on earth, no matter what we do the outcome is the same. Nothingness.

The Buddhism belief of “nothing permanent to humans”
I also agree with. As time goes on, our body changes, the mind and you change all together. Whether that be your personality, Looks, or hair. We will never stay the same person our entire lives because we all go through experiences that change us and our personal outlooks on life.

And this I say to all of you. Why should you worry about things that aren’t in your control? If something is in your grasp, worry about that and take control of what’s controllable. If you lose a friend, lose your job, anything else. If it happens, it simply happens. Make the best out of it!

A bit of backstory that’s semi relevant to my topic :

Back in January of 2023 I was homeless. I was living with a mom’s friend while we searched for houses, music and philosophy took my mind off what was originally going on in my life, the chaos. I found my interest in philosophy the most. Reading Marcus Aurelius, learning about Camus and the others. What they said about life and its surroundings, were surroundings I was around. And so I saw this quote that changed a lot on my look on the situation that was happening. “ Today I escaped from anxiety. Or no, I discarded it, because it was within me, in my own perceptions—not outside.” - Marcus Aurelius : Book of meditation's.

I hope this quote helps you all like it helped me.

i think people including myself worry about things we can't control is BECAUSE of that. like ur example losing a friend, it's the fact that you CAN'T do anything about it that's so distressing.

i would comment on the other stuff u said in here but my head is way 2 slow 4 all dat
