I love Aphex Twin, Specifically Ambient Works Select 2. It brings a lot of memories from when I was just a small kid, My dad listens to Aphex Twin all the time. He has so many Synths I've lost track. As a matter of Fact We've made around 80 or so tracks for My Game project. Mostly Ambient Drone with heavy Industrial themes, Very spooky. But also Made tons of music tracks. I provide Him with samples I'll throw together and use them kind of like instruments. It's been a Blast making Music and SFX with my dad.

SAW 85-92 and Xylem tube are really good IMO. Also, your dads awesome for listening to them. I’ve always wanted to experiment with electronic music/synthesizers

I used Ableton To make beats for a couple weeks till the trial ended. It was a learning experience for sure I'd say its one of the good ones to make music with. I do know of Vital which is synthesizer software (https://vital.audio/) and from the looks of it pretty decent. they have a free version if you want to check them out.

I’d have to listen and see. What albums by them do you recommend?

that's the album, it's by rory in early 20s.! there's also 絶滅セレモニー i THINK it's similar, i haven't gotten to listen yet. but denki no iryoku has a very special place in my heart compared to the rest of her ambient kind of albums, it's so terrifying but it lowkey saved me
