A lot of people (including mayhem) were LARPs who didn’t worship the devil like they said they did.
they did this with varg after the church burnings. He wasn’t a satanist, varg had pagan views and burnt down the churches out of “spite” for what Christianity did to Norway thousands of years before.
A lot of BM are just anti-religion, there’s very few that take the Satan worship serious.
